| The following
is a small selection of photographs that I shot while in Japan in November
2004 - the only exception is one of the portraits of Soke, shot a few years
earlier. Most of the “action” shots come from the demonstration done by Soke and other Bujinkan members at the shrine dedicated by Kikkoman in Noda. While I have been privileged to be allowed to shoot pictures during training sessions I have mostly left those out since they tend not to be so artistic in nature. That, and the fact that when Soke is teaching it is extremely difficult to capture the essence of the movement.
